About Niagara IceDogs Hockey Club
The Niagara IceDogs are a member team of the Ontario Hockey League. Bill and Denise Burke brought the IceDogs to the Niagara Region 11 years ago, and has since become a major staple in the community. The IceDogs have produced elite talent that have gone on to have professional success at the NHL, and academically. While hockey is the primary focus of the IceDogs’ franchise, having strong ties to the community is incredibly important. After partnering with local anti-bullying campaigns, IceDogs’ players visit local schools to spread the importance of treating all with respect and kindness to the next generations of our society. The IceDogs are also proud to have partnered with provincial, national and international campaigns to bring awareness to other significant causes; namely our annual Pink in the Rink game, last years’ Pride game hosted in conjunction with Pride Niagara and You Can Play, and this seasons’ Autism Awareness game, hosted with the support of Autism Ontario.
