The West Lincoln Chamber of Commerce Annual General Meeting will be held on February 18th at the Lake House Restaurant 3100 North Service Road, Jordan.
Dinner is at 6:30 p.m. and will be followed by a seminar on the proposed implementation of the Harmonized Sales Tax (HST) in July. A speaker from Durward Jones Barkwell & Company LLP Chartered Accountants will present.
"Business owners need as much information as possible about how the HST will work. Because the HST will apply to all businesses people are asking, 'who has to register and, where can I get further help?' This seminar will outline their obligations and entitlements and touch on book and record keeping."
