The West Lincoln Chamber of Commerce is continually reinforcing our belief that West Lincoln is a great place to shop, to work, to play, and to live. West Lincoln offers peaceful family life, with your choice of 420 businesses to shop from, 32 churches to attend, 32 community groups to volunteer your time with, as well as 9 schools to choose your child's education.
West Lincoln consists of 94, 716 acres and includes the communities of Abingdon, Allens Corner, Basingstoke, Bismarck, Boyle, Caistor Centre, Caistorville, Echo, Fulton, Grassie, Kimbo, Port Davidson, Rosedene, Silverdale, Smithville, St. Anns, Vaughan, Warner, Wellandport, Wilcox Corners and Winslow, all of which support our quaint community with our rich historical background, strong agricultural roots, and cultural diversity. Travelers will experience the sight of beautiful renovated century farm homes, often surrounded by dairy, poultry, or agricultural farmland of corn, soybean, or wheat.
West Lincoln also produces large volumes of maple syrup and most recently emu and ostrich production! Many Greenhouses are also part of our community supplying flowering plants, vegetables and shrubbery for both the retail and wholesale market.
Annual Events in our community like PoultryFest Niagara happen right in Smithville and attract thousands of people to our community for this one day day event from all over the Niagara Region, and even from other countries!
West Lincoln is proud of the success of the Farmers' Market that runs May through October. This is an excellent opportunity for home based businesses and farmers to sell their wares. West Lincoln is located at the top of the escarpment allowing the most beautiful of fall colours on the trees. Known as "The Hub of the Niagara Region" and "The Pride of the Niagara Peninsula", we feel West Lincoln truly is a great place. Growth is vital to the success of any communities' livelihood.
Competetion is good for business. As a business owner you need to be competitive, have an innovative product, community visibility as well as a marketing and sales technique that is better than the next guy's business. Growth and change in any community can be a bit frightening, but is a necessary part of an ecomomy for survival. Communities need to be encouraged to accept growth with excitement and good business sense.
As our population grows, our community needs to provide services, businesses, and opportunity to all residents. Children will grow up and be looking for a local job in our community, families will need to purchase supplies and product, parents will want to register their children for sports and social interaction, or you may wish to consider opening a new business yourself. Opportunities need to be created continually to sustain our residents' needs. Many of you, as residents and businesses in West Lincoln have invested a great deal in our community. The West Lincoln Chamber of Commerce commends and recognizes your contribution.
The West Lincoln Chamber of Commerce believes that options, opportunities, and choices come hand in hand with change and growth. Together, with a sincere, well managed vision of growth, West Lincoln will remain a great place to shop, to work, to live, and to play.
